TESTIMONIALS

Veronica Domingo,

Rhinebeck Programs Assistant Director at Omega Institute

I"n March of 2022, we had the pleasure of hosting a Stop Motion Animation: Mindful Material Exploration online workshop with Laura Bellmont as one of our Omega Teachers Studio programs.  Though the class was intimate, the format was clear, detailed and very interactive.  Laura has a lot of experience with the software, apps, and different formats for mobile, Mac, PC and tablets, so she was able to easily explain to all of the beginner students how to use the device of their choice to get the results they wanted.  She provided a thorough list of items to bring to class and several illustrated diagrams so students could set up their space and be able to create and play with this new form of expression.  Laura is a gifted teacher, very fun and patient, with lots of inspiring examples for each medium used which made the class exciting and informative.  After the workshop ended  all of the resulting animations were sent to Laura who edited together one collaborative animated film with music that could be downloaded and shared.  All together an excellent class."

Jillian Bock,

Museum Education Associate at The Parrish Art Museum

“The Parrish Art Museum loves our partnership with the Little Animation Studio! Laura Bellmont is a highly skilled and creative professional who delivers top-tier animation workshops. In our programs, Little Animation Studio educators provide students with approachable instruction and the tools, media, and techniques they need to execute their own artistic vision. The staff’s contagious enthusiasm, patience, and kindness are essential in fostering a collaborative and engaging environment for our participants. It is no surprise that their Stop Motion Animation camp has become one of our most popular and coveted offerings during the summer!”

Davis Connelly,

Senior Program Director “Roads to Success”

“The Little Animation Studio has been an unfailingly positive feature of our programs. They provide themed animation courses that we wish could be extended to every child. Their project-based learning program is facilitated by kind, creative instructors who skillfully provide time and space for art practice, while exposing students to important developmental and academic skills: science, software, math, literacy, social competencies, leadership, self-efficacy, the list could be endless. The progress and benefits are always evident in the participants, and the culminating animation projects are great fun to watch repeatedly!"

Angela Myatt,

“Lower Lab School” After School Coordinator

"I have had the pleasure of working with Laura and The Little Animation Studio for the past several years.  The classes are engaging, fun and educational.  During that time Laura and her staff have proved to be prompt, courteous and flexible.  The students have thoroughly enjoyed her classes and proved it by signing up again over and over again!"

Jeanmarie Director,

Special Projects / Africa, Leitner Center for International Law & Justice

"All three of my children have been incredibly lucky to take several stop-motion animation classes with Laura Bellmont and the other wonderful teachers at the Little Animation Studio since its founding. In each class, they create very different works based on the interests of the particular students. Our children’s classes have produced fairy tales, creepy shorts and even musicals. While very different in kind, each of these unique films has been imaginative, visually stunning and very fun to watch. We feel very fortunate to have Laura and the Little Animation Studio in our lives!"
